Technical Data:

Specifics of the vineyard The "Oberer Wald" site is the second largest single vineyard in Rust. It is located north of Rust in the direction of Oggau. It is the only Rust site that slopes towards the south. Here the Blaufränkisch plays by far the main role. The "Oberer Wald" can be described as the most calcareous Rust site. One finds mainly calcareous sandstone with shells and corals with thin, mostly sloping marl layers. Well drained and rich in skeletons. This vineyard produces Blaufränkisch wines of cool fruit precision.
