Rusterberg Red

Blend of Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
Year: 2020
- vegan - handpicked

Blend of Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet and Blaufränkisch

Strong colour, inviting fruit, black cherry, elderberry jam, bitter chocolate, fine toasting, full-bodied, tight, dense and fine-grained finish, long lasting. Nougat and fruity melting on the finish. Enormous storage potential.

Worth knowing:

Rusterberg has been the name of the Rust vineyard since 2018. It encompasses all the sites of the Ruster Hotter. The Rust terroir differs from the soil structure north and south of Rust.

In the north, the soil is characterised by calcareous sandstone with shells and corals. The St. Margarethener quarry borders directly on it. One finds loess, brown earth, quartz and slate.

The soils in the south of Rust are almost free of lime. Here the subsoil and topsoil is formed by the "Ruster Schotter" of mica slate material.
