Blaufränkisch

Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, fleshy and contoured. On the palate attractive dark berry confit, delicate blackberry, a touch of herbs, fine touch of precious wood, delicate leafy nuances. Juicy, elegant, extract-sweet texture, fine tannins, chocolaty melt in the finish, remains very well adherent, a fine food companion with aging potential

Specifics of the vineyard |
Ried Oberer Wald The soil types are very diverse. Rendsina, loose sediment, brown and rocky brown earth, loess and colluvium can be found. The soils are inconsistently moderately to strongly calcareous. The soil types are sandy loam and loamy sand. Our vines are between 40 and 55 years old. This results in a slightly lower, but very high quality yield. The wines from this site are very expressive, shine with their taut but fine tannins and give the whole enormous longevity (storage potential). |
