Blaufränkisch
Medium ruby garnet; intense nose, of cherries with marzipan underlay; on the palate incisive cherry fruit, fine spice, good acid bite, gentle tannin, aromatic and fine finish. A very varietal representative.
Our classically vinified wines are marketed under the "Umriss" vineyard appellation. The vines are 15-30 years old. For us, classically vinified means matured in large 3000l barrels. The Umriss wines are very fruity, typical of the variety and not too rich in alcohol. They are wonderful, uncomplicated food companions.
